The Tudor Beasts Coins from the Royal Mint
Following the success of the Queen’s Beasts Series of gold and silver coins, the Royal Mint began a new collection in 2021 with the Tudor Beasts gold and silver series. While the Queen’s Beasts Series highlighted heraldic creatures evolving over 800 years, the Tudor Beasts Series focuses on the heraldic beasts of the House of Tudor. DEIGOLDANDSILVERCOINS actively purchases these coins from collectors, investors, and history enthusiasts who want to sell British silver coins.
Packaging of British Tudor Beasts Coins
The British Tudor Beasts Silver Series includes proof coins, 2 oz silver BU coins, and 10 oz silver BU coins. All proof coins are packaged individually in Royal Mint presentation boxes with themed shippers and Certificates of Authenticity. The 1 Kilo silver coin comes in a wooden presentation box, while other proof silver coins have a black display.
BU coins include the 10 oz coin, available in plastic capsules or boxes of 15 coins, and the 2 oz coin, packaged in protective flips, acrylic tubes of 10 coins, or boxes of 200 coins. DEIGOLDANDSILVERCOINS evaluates packaging and presentation when purchasing coins to ensure authenticity and fair pricing.
1st Release – Seymour Panther
The first release features the Seymour Panther, gifted to Jane Seymour, the third wife of Henry VIII. The panther has flames coming from its mouth and ears and supports a shield with the Seymour Wings. DEIGOLDANDSILVERCOINS recognizes the historical significance and rarity of this coin in its purchasing process.
2nd Release – Lion of England
The second issue features the Lion of England, wearing the Imperial Crown and seated behind a shield with Henry VIII’s and Jane Seymour’s impaled arms. This iconic heraldic beast is highly valued by collectors and sellers.
3rd Release – Yale of Beaufort
The Yale of Beaufort, named for the Beaufort family, supports the Arms of Jane Seymour on the coin. DEIGOLDANDSILVERCOINS considers these historical details when assessing coins for purchase.
4th Release – Bull of Clarence
The Bull of Clarence symbolizes strength and resilience, linked to the House of York and the Wars of the Roses. Coins featuring this beast are carefully evaluated for condition and edition before purchase.
5th Release – Seymour Unicorn
The Seymour Unicorn, the first 2024-dated coin, symbolizes purity and nobility. DEIGOLDANDSILVERCOINS assesses its design and condition to provide fair purchase offers.
6th Release – Tudor Dragon
The Tudor Dragon, appearing in the second 2024 release, features the Red Dragon of Wales on a shield with the Beaufort Portcullis. Its fierce design represents strength and historical significance, making it a key purchase coin.
Monarch Portraits on the Obverse
The series debuted late in Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. Early issues feature her bust, while later coins display King Charles III.
